Task
Manager
The Task Manager facilitates project management by tracking all
the action items related to your project. When you create a new
task, such as "Update sales presentation," you can assign
the task to other members of your team. The people you designate
receive an email notification about the task detailing the due date,
priority, and any special instructions. Each person involved receives
reminder emails before the deadline and as they make progress on
the task, they update their status right on the intranet.
You can use the Task Manager to track your personal to-do list or
create several tasks relating to a specific project. You can also
synchronize tasks on your intranet with those in your Palm or Outlook.

Expense
Reports
Managing your travel and entertainment budget can be a burden. Expense
Reports allows you to create a standard expense form for employees
to submit all work-related expenses to your accounting department
for reimbursement without leaving the intranet.
With Expenses Reports, you can:
·
Create and maintain drafts of expense reports
· Track the status of certain expenses
· View summary reports of all expenses by type
· Print reports to submit for reimbursement
You
can also add items to your report and work on a draft before printing
and submitting it for approval.

Group
Links
The Links section of your homepage stores your personal links, as
well as links to online resources such as your 401K plan or any
web-based application. You can start a list of the websites that
you find useful so that others in your group can also take advantage
of them.
There are two types of links in the Links section: Group Links and
My Links. Everyone in your intranet can see the Group Links. Only
you can see and add to My Links.
You can create folders to better organize all the links in your
intranet. For example, you might have folders containing links to
your company's benefits plan, daily newspapers, charities, or your
competition.
Extranet
Options/Guest Access
The extranet option is useful when you want to allow outside members
to:
·
Review a document on your intranet
· Solicit their input in an online discussions
· View upcoming calendar events
· Read announcements about your company
· Vote in an online poll
You
can easily maintain the security of your intranet by defining and
controlling their access. By default, only intranet members can
see the information on your intranet. But when you enable the extranet
option, outside guests can access your intranet, and you must then
choose which features you want them to see. For example, you can
allow them to access Polls, but not Documents. Only the intranet
administrator can enable the extranet option for your site.
